Personal Narrative
I Am From Poem. This poem is a way to get to know a little bit of your student's background and where they come from. Also this could be beneficial to the student for them to be able to discover themselves as a person.

Bring Your Most Valuable Object to School!
For this assignment, we were instructed to bring our most valued object to school. I chose to bring something that you weren't physically able to see; my brain. You brain is an object of which narrates your movements, the place where all uour thoughts are processed. The place where you can think in peace, with no invasion of privacy.Lab Reports
Monument Project
This is a monument that was built by our class of freshmen, in each ninth grade class we were assigned to build a monument that we all agreed on. In my class we built a pyramid out of boxes that we designed in ways that we felt represented us.

Be Heard ProjectIn our classes, we were working on a project called, "Be Heard". Be Heard is a mixture of displaying a message, showing creativity, and putting things together. In our English class, for this project we had to make poems and have a role in making a music video. In Physics, we made our own headphones, created a report on them, and learned about waves and magnetism to have a clear understanding of how headphones are suppose to work. Lastly, in our computer science class we created our own timeline on our social justice topic using branching systems and websites given by our instructor.

Ted X Summary
In our English class we were instructed to create a ted talk based upon a topic that you feel passionate about or feel it's a topic that should be discussed. I believe the main idea of a ted talk is to cause awareness and to have a plan of action, to motivate people to try to change the situation, or it could be pointless and silly. We revised our talks and we chose students from our class that should present in front of our school. In our math class we were instructed to gather studies and statistics and put it into a graph.

. How to lie with statistics shows you how to make information appear as you want it. For instance if you have a graph where the numbers are extremely high, you can make a graph truncating its information so that it could appear as if the significance of the numbers are insanely low. This is an example of lying with statistics. Google Sheets is a way to update and modify sheets, using google sheets can also prepare and help you with upcoming events. Sheets also allows you to make graphs where you'd be able to "Lie With Statistics".

Artifact for Scenarios Journal.
We've built bottle rockets based off of the book "The Martian" . We tested our eggs by launching them to see how the impact would be. The egg in my rocket survived.
|
In our English class we read a book called, "The Martian". In this book Mark Watney had a journal to track what he did during his "trip" on mars. In English we were instructed to do the same, although we weren't given the same scenario. We got to pick our scenario as we randomly pulled out a piece of paper from a bowl. Your character was either; a soldier, sailor, foreign exchange student, or a student going to college in Chile. We had to create our own survival experience.

Based off our project in the other classes, all of our projects link together. As you can probably guess, we have our computer science class to do a project in. For this project we've created a game/ animation of our scenarios.
